We recently visited 13th Hour Haunted House in Wharton, NJ for their Christmas Haunt and it was an absolute blast! Their escape rooms were open with actors and they had three haunted houses for guests to experience.

Let’s start with the escape room…AWESOME! This was our second visit to 13th Hour and both times we have done an escape room with actors. The addition of actors to the escape rooms takes the experience to a whole different level. They have several different escape rooms, most themed to the Hayden Family, so it’s easy to come back and have a completely new experience each visit. The escape rooms themselves are incredibly detailed with secret passageways and doors to new areas. The actors were very interactive and helped when we got stuck. We beat the escape room with literally less than a minute to spare. A great way to start the night!

Next up were three haunted houses that kept the energy and excitement going. The scenes throughout the haunted houses are truly impressive. We saw plenty of changes to sets and characters since our last visit making it feel like a completely new experience for us. The actors were great in each house. Our favorite haunted house was a blackout house, extremely difficult to navigate and removing the ability to see takes the suspense to greater heights. Well done!
